Inside This Article

Quick Summary

Set Status Pull Rate Information
Unleashed Released Official booster structure published. Ultimate Rare confirmed at less than 0.1% of packs.
Vendetta Releases 31 July 2026 Product structure is already listed, but Riot has not yet published a full official pull-rate article.

Unleashed is the more clearly documented of the two sets right now. Riot has officially confirmed its pack breakdown and the top chase rate for the new Ultimate Rare rarity.

Vendetta has confirmed booster product details and release timing, but the exact odds for its premium rarities have not yet been officially detailed in the same way.

Set 3: Unleashed

Unleashed is Riftbound’s third main booster set. It expands the game with new Champions, new mechanics, and the debut of one of the rarest collector chase cards the game has seen so far.

The set includes more than 220 cards and adds another wave of Showcase and premium treatments for collectors to chase. The main headline is the introduction of Ultimate Rarity.

For players looking to open sealed product, the main option is the Riftbound Unleashed Booster Box.

Unleashed Booster Pack Contents

Riot has officially confirmed the rarity structure for every Riftbound: Unleashed booster pack.

Slot Contents
7 slots Common cards
3 slots Uncommon cards
1 slot Foil slot, which can be Common, Uncommon, Rare, or Epic
2 slots Rare, Epic, Alt, Overnumber, or Ultimate cards
1 slot Token, Rune, or Alt Rune
1 insert Informational insert

This gives every pack a clear structure. You are getting:

  • A consistent base of Commons and Uncommons
  • One dedicated foil slot
  • Two premium rarity slots with the chance to hit higher-rarity collector cards
  • A Rune, Token, or Alt Rune slot

Those two premium slots are where most of the bigger pulls can appear, including Rares, Epics, Alt cards, Overnumbers, and the new Ultimate Rare.

Unleashed Pull Rates

Unleashed is notable because Riot has published a full booster distribution overview alongside one especially important rarity rate.

Card Type Confirmed Rate or Status Notes
Foil slot 1 per pack Can be Common, Uncommon, Rare, or Epic.
Rare+ slots 2 per pack Can contain Rare, Epic, Alt, Overnumber, or Ultimate cards.
Ultimate Rare Less than 0.1% of packs Maximum of one Ultimate Rare per pack.
Alt cards Confirmed possible Exact individual pull rate has not been publicly broken down.
Overnumber cards Confirmed possible Exact individual pull rate has not been publicly broken down.
Epic cards Confirmed possible Exact Set 3 Epic pull rate has not been individually published in the same format as Origins.

Every Unleashed pack gives you access to premium pulls, but Riot has only published one exact top-end chase rate so far:

Ultimate Rare cards appear in less than 0.1% of packs.

That makes Ultimate Rare cards exceptionally difficult to open and far rarer than standard Epic and premium-treatment pulls.

Ultimate Rarity Explained

Ultimate Rarity is a new rarity introduced in Unleashed for especially rare collector cards. The first Ultimate Rare is a unique overnumbered version of Baron Nashor.

Important things to know about Ultimate Rares:

  • The Baron Nashor Ultimate Rare is the only Ultimate Rare in Unleashed.
  • Ultimate Rares are not guaranteed to appear in every future Riftbound set.
  • No pack can contain more than one Ultimate Rare.
  • The published appearance rate is less than 0.1% of packs.

Baron Nashor is the clear chase card of the set. Opening a box gives you the chance to pull one, but it does not make it likely you or anyone from your local will see it. Even opening several boxes does not make it an expected hit.

If your aim is to collect one exact chase card rather than enjoy sealed opening, singles are usually the more practical route. For more on that decision, read our Riftbound Singles Guide.

What You Get in an Unleashed Booster Box

A Riftbound Unleashed Booster Box contains:

  • 24 booster packs
  • 14 cards per pack
  • A set pool of more than 220 cards
  • Multiple chances at Epics, Alts, Overnumbers, and the Ultimate Rare chase

Across 24 packs, players can expect a good spread of the core set, plenty of Rare or better cards, and a useful sample of the foil and premium treatment pool. What you should not expect is a guaranteed Ultimate Rare, Overnumber, or specific chase card.

Booster boxes are best for:

  • Players who enjoy opening a larger run of packs from the same set
  • Collectors wanting a broad starting pool
  • Anyone who wants to chase premium pulls without buying individual packs one at a time

Set 4: Vendetta

Vendetta is Riftbound’s fourth main booster set and is due for release on 31 July 2026.

Vendetta Booster Pack Contents

Current product listings describe Vendetta packs as containing:

Slot Contents
7 slots Common cards
3 slots Uncommon cards
2 slots Foil Rares or better
1 slot Foil card of any rarity
1 slot Token slot

Vendetta booster packs are also listed as drawing from a card pool of more than 160 cards and including over 50 Showcase cards.

That gives us a useful early picture of how the set is shaping up. Vendetta appears to continue Riftbound’s focus on premium booster pulls and collector-friendly treatments.

Vendetta Pull Rates

This is the key point for collectors:

Riot has not yet published a dedicated official Vendetta pull-rate breakdown in the same detailed way it has for Unleashed.

So while we know the product format currently being listed, the following points have not yet been officially confirmed:

  • The exact odds of specific Epic pulls
  • The exact appearance rates for Alt cards
  • The exact appearance rates for Overnumber cards
  • Whether Ultimate Rarity returns in Vendetta
  • The chase-card rate structure for the most premium treatments

As soon as we see the published pull rates we will update this blog with the up-to-date information.

Which Set Should You Buy?

I want the most clearly defined chase card.

Unleashed is the obvious choice. Ultimate Rare Baron Nashor is already confirmed and has a published pull rate of less than 0.1% of packs.

I want the newest upcoming Riftbound release.

Vendetta is the one to watch. It releases on 31 July 2026 and is the next major booster set in the game.

I want to open sealed product and build a collection.

Either set can make sense. Unleashed Booster Boxes are better understood right now from a pull-rate perspective, while Vendetta Booster Boxes are the preorder option for players who want to be ready for the next wave.

I want to strengthen a deck rather than gamble on packs.

Buying specific singles will usually be more efficient. Packs are fun, but targeted upgrades are best handled card by card. Our Riftbound deck upgrade guide explains how to make better buying decisions once you know what your deck needs.

Buying Singles vs Boosters

This comes up with every Riftbound set, and the answer is usually the same.

If you want:

  • A specific Epic
  • A particular Showcase card
  • A certain Overnumber
  • An exact chase card for a collection

then singles will almost always be the cleaner and more cost-effective route.

Boosters are about the experience. You are paying for:

  • The surprise of opening packs
  • The possibility of hitting a premium pull
  • The fun of starting a collection from scratch
  • The chance to see new cards before you know exactly what you want

For most players, the best approach is a hybrid one: open boosters because it is enjoyable, then use singles to fill the gaps. That balance gives you the excitement of sealed product without relying on luck to finish specific decks or collections.

For more detail on that buying approach, read our Riftbound Singles Guide: Sets, Standout Cards, and Smart Buying.
